Amidst COVID-19, we sometimes worry about our child's academic growth. Thanks to technology, we have all the resources online in order for us to teach them even at the comfort of our own homes.
We have prepared a series of activities that your child can practice and jumpstart getting ready for kindergarten.
Please note that this first series has been prepared for children 3-5 years of age.
Our first and one of the most important skill that your child will need to acquire is writing their own name. To start from the very basic technique (assuming they already know how to write the alphabet) would be to follow dotted lines until they are used to it. Below is a screenshot and we will be putting the link for you to access it.
Parent/Guardian: I do not have a degree in teaching.
Think Prep: We understand. But it has been a universal truth that our first teachers are our parents or guardians at home with us. If you have been a working parent or guardian, it might take some time to adjust with patience and determination. Nothing is impossible with love they say and this also applies with teaching your child. If you love your child, you would be willing to do anything for his or her own good, right?
Aside from that, always incorporate PLAY with learning to make it interesting. Make a schedule before the main activity. You may want to start with a prayer, sing and dance first, then the main activity. Don't forget to end your homeschool activity with SNACK TIME (this is their favorite!)
